Derek Mears (Jason) "Hero" Hockey Mask

This is the main hero hockey mask worn on screen by Derek Mears as Jason in the 2009 remake of "Friday the 13th".  This mask was worn in the following sequences:

1. Jason finds his mask (both theatrical and deleted scene version)
2. Daylight sequence where Jason shoots Nolan in the boat with the arrow
3. Jason carries a body back to camp, and activates the floodlights
4. Jason's encounter with Chewie and kills him
5. Jason's encounter and axe throw with Lawrence
6. Jason appears on the roof of the house
7. Bree pulls back the shower curtain and Jason grabs her
8. Jason kills Bree with a set of deer antlers and peers through the window at the police officer coming down the path
9. Jason pushes the poker through the police officer's eye
10. Jason crashes through the window and grab's Clay
11. Clay's final encounter with Jason
12. Jason struggles and goes through the woodchipper
13. Jason's death mask

This mask has more screen time than any other mask, being used for 5 of the 7 kills that he is wearing the hockey mask, not including his own death.  The only kill that is confirmed to be a different mask is Trent's on the tow truck.  I cannot get a good enough screen shot to see if Jason is wearing this mask when he stabs the machete through the doc to kill Chelsea.  It is during the same scene as Nolan's, but with filming out of order (more on that below), it is possible that another mask COULD have been used for this kill.  I will try to get a quality screen shot and update this kill.

This particular mask is VERY interesting, because the mask, in its current state of distressing, can be matched to the following sequences:

1. Jason finds the mask
2. Daylight sequence as Jason kills Nolan in the boat
3. Jason goes through the woodchipper/death mask

The mask has specific markings that match up perfectly on screen with little effort to the above 3 scenes. However, when you view the photo gallery, you will see a direct comparison to the mask used in the 13 sequences listed first to show that it is indeed the very same mask, just not AS distressed yet, showing that the film was shot out of order (typical of film anyway).  The triangle marking, in its current state, does not seem to match footage from various parts of the film AT FIRST, but on closer inspection, we see that it is exactly the same triangle, just further distressed.  And of course, when you compare the rest of the mask on a forensic level with footage from these additional scenes, you see that it is the very same mask.  Those comparisons are in the photo gallery.

The photos do not clearly show this, but there is a big scrape on the forehead, straight through the center of the triangle and then moving upward, that obviously happened at some point during the film, possibly while shooting the wood chipper scene at the end.  This changed the distressing on the triangle marking so when the daylight footage of Jason killing Nolan, and finding his mask were shot, it matches the distressing of the mask from the end of the film.  So, the triangle marking no longer reflects the state of the mask from such scenes as "Chewie's death", or "the curtain pull", but it is the very same mask.  Additional distressing also affected the mask around the eye area, nose, and where the "mouth" would be.  This is also clearly visible in the 3 scenes mentioned directly above, but would not be visible in the other scenes mentioned, as the distressing had not happened yet.  But, still, all the other markings on the mask match, showing it is still the very same mask

Ryan Hansen's (Nolan) Screen-worn shirt from "Friday the 13th: 2009"

This shirt is CLEARLY seen on screen being worn by the character of "Nolan" throughout the 2nd half of the film before the water-skiing scene.  This shirt was obtained from the man who created it for the film.  COA from Paramount Pictures.  This is a good find as there is currently NOTHING available from this film
